Privacy policy

Salt & Cypress Staging ("we," "us") operates this website from Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. This site tells you about our staging and furnishing services and lets you buy the furniture and décor we stage with. This page explains what information we collect when you browse, create an account, or place an order, and how we use it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
What we collect
Browsing. You can read this site without giving us any information. Our web host records ordinary technical details (IP address, browser type, pages requested) in server logs to deliver and secure the site; these are kept briefly and not used to identify you.
Contacting us. If you call, email, or use a contact form, we receive what you send us (name, contact details, and your message) and use it only to respond.
Placing an order. To fulfil an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and — if different — billing address, together with the items you ordered and their status. We use this to process payment, arrange delivery with the manufacturer and carrier, send you order confirmations and status updates, and answer questions about your order.
Creating an account. Accounts are optional. If you create one, we store your email address, name, any delivery addresses you save, and your order history, so you can check on orders and check out faster next time. You may sign in with an emailed code, a password, or your Google account. If you use Google, Google shares your name and email address with us and nothing else; we do not see your Google password.
Shopping cart. Items you add to your cart are kept in your browser's local storage; if you are signed in, they are also saved to your account so the cart follows you between devices.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number, bank account details, and digital-wallet credentials are entered directly into Stripe's secure fields and are transmitted to Stripe; they never pass through or are stored on our systems. We receive from Stripe only a confirmation of payment and a summary such as the card brand and last four digits. If you choose to save a payment method to your account, it is stored by Stripe and referenced by us only through a token; you can remove it at any time from your account's Payment Methods page. Stripe may use fraud-prevention services and may collect device information in its own right under its privacy policy.
Who we share information with
We share only what is needed to complete your order:
- Manufacturers and freight carriers receive your name, delivery address, and phone number so they can ship and schedule delivery.
- Stripe processes payments (see above) and calculates sales tax from your delivery address.
- Amazon Web Services hosts the site, our order records, customer accounts, and sends our transactional email. Data is stored in AWS's U.S. regions.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google, and Google Fonts, which serves our typefaces (your browser sends your IP address to Google to fetch them).
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, and in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We send transactional email only: order confirmations, payment and delivery updates, and account sign-in codes. We do not send marketing email. Every order email includes our reply address and phone number if you have questions.
Cookies and analytics
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Signing in stores a session token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in; signing out removes it. Stripe sets its own cookies within its payment fields for fraud prevention. We do not currently run third-party analytics; if we add privacy-respecting analytics in future we will update this page.
How long we keep information
Order records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order, handle warranty and damage claims, and meet tax and accounting obligations (generally seven years). Account information is kept until you ask us to delete your account. Abandoned checkouts that were never paid are removed automatically.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Order and account data is stored in access-controlled cloud databases available only to our staff. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we do not hold payment credentials at all.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your saved addresses and payment methods, and see your order history, from your account. To correct information, close your account, or request a copy or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, email team@langhamproperties.com from the address on the account; we will respond within 30 days. We may retain order records needed for tax, warranty, and legal purposes after an account is closed.
California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising. Although our business currently falls below the law's applicability thresholds, we honor these requests for all customers and will not discriminate against you for making one.
Do Not Track
We do not track visitors across websites, so this site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Purchases require you to be at least 18.
Changes
If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes affecting account holders will be noted by email.
